As Ru sat in front of his desk contemplating death By moth attack, he said to him self
"why am I here?"
"Is this all there is?"
"There must be...." Just then a pack very angry moth's galloped into the room on horse back.
They were about to drag him off when, remembering his hand book 'What to do in case of Moth attack on horse back'
pulled a light bulb out from his underwear which he had already turned on before setting out for work that morning.
Completely confused the moth's galloped madly around the light bulb which in this case was a 40 WATT soft tone bulb
Ru saw the chance for escape and was able to slip away unhurt...
funny the things you think about at work ;-)

Another Equinox Disaster
A crashing of pots and pans A wailing of obscenities and the accidental release of flatulence gas, a twist and a squeeze, the sausage escaped from my grasp, diving off the bench and freeing the bag of potatoes I had captured earlier that day, they both bolted for the door and ran off into the night. “By the pagan gods of compressed meat products you will not escape!” I cried, the little Sausage turned yelling back with a rude gesture included “I already have”.
Slumping to the ground now overpowered by my own flatulent outburst earlier on,
I new I had lost the battle… “Another equinox celebration ends in disaster” I said,
“Maybe I should think about going back to farming cucumbers”…

Radio
My new purchase, I spotted this on an Auction site a 1950's Ultimate Valve Radio.
Ultimate was a local New Zealand company that manufactured Radiograms and other electric appliances, alas like allot of local company's they have now gone the way of the Dodo.
Anyway, why would you buy an old AM valve radio? I here you say, well I suppose a bit of nostalgia and I have always had a love for old valve radios since I was a kid. The smell, the design, the low hum they make, now the reason I grabbed this particular radio was my Granddad owned one the same, sadly over the years of moving around it disappeared, probably left behind somewhere in one of our many moves from house to house.
I loved that radio so when I spotted this one I had to have it, sixty dollars, not bad I thought it's in very good condition and works perfectly.
So I got it home and set it up on an old oak desk in my lounge, the large round Bakelite dials, the dark wooden body that low hum as I tuned into a station.
It is amazing how just the smell or touch of something from your youth triggers memory's from your past I remember waking up on Sunday morning going into the lounge switching on the radio to tune into the Sunday morning kids programs... perfect hmmmm I have my eye on another one now :-)
