Kubuntu

Well Kubuntu GNU/Linux was released a little while ago and what an excellent operating system its clean, stylish, and fast.
Kubuntu is basically the Ubuntu GNU/Linux operating system with the KDE desktop.
The latest version is 6.06 Dapper Drake, you can download Kubuntu from http://www.kubuntu.org/index.php There were a few apps I had to install
one being mp3 support and a few multimedia apps like the Gimp, fyre, Cinepaint, inkscape, and Scribus I also had to install Firefox the best Web browser in the entire Universe
sorry but I really do think it is :) I know a lot of people go on about GNU/Lnux, it doesn't do this, it doesn't do that why cant I use this program, why cant I play mp3's strait out of the box.
I think we all must remember that GNU/Linux is not Windows, its not Mac its GNU/Linux
and it does things differently. But it is easy to use, its extremely powerful, very robust and Free as in Freedom. So I think give it a try if you don't like it you have nothing to lose but a blank disc. Ubuntu/Kubuntu will even send one out to you for free, now you cant get better than that can you go for it :)

Telecom a gogo

Yeah! The government has just unbundled the telecommunications local loop,
finely I can get real broadband Internet. The internet has been really bad here
but that's what you get when one company controls the whole country's Internet services.
It will probably take awhile for other company's to provide faster Broadband but it's a start.
Hopefully I can stream Internet radio and not buffering every 5 minutes
